SPYSHOT: Nissan NP300 Navara versi SUV diuji

Nissan-Navara-SUV-spyshots-02

Nissan Note Nismo – first photos of the sportier hatch

Nissan-Note-Nismo-0005
Nissan’s Nismo tuning outfit have put their touches on the bread-and-butter Nissan Note hatchback, turning it into the Nissan Note Nismo. Exterior-wise, it gets sportier bumpers, grilles and wheels, while the interior gets sports seats. The little splashes of red around the body looks good, doesn’t it?
Nismo have tweaked the car in terms of powertrain, chassis, tyres, suspension and aerodynamics. Yes, the engine has been tweaked, but we’re not too sure to what extent. The car is supposed to have a 5-speed manual gearbox, so we’re expecting the base engine to be the 1.5 litre normally aspirated four cylinder engine that you normally find in the Note, so we don’t know how far powertrain tweaks can go.
The Nissan Note competes head on with the Honda Jazz, since both cars are B-segment high roof hatchbacks. We’ve previously seen a Nissan Note with trade plates driving around in Malaysia, and ETCM showcased the Nissan Note at last year’s KLIMS13 show, but there hasn’t been any other updates on the possibility of the car coming to Nissan Malaysia showrooms since then.

NISSAN X-TRAIL 2016 IMPUL

Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) has officially launched the Nissan X-Trail Tuned by Impul, a new offering for those who desire something a little sportier than the standard seven-seater SUV. The Impul X-Trail package is offered for both the 2.5L 4WD and 2.0L 2WD models.
The Impul makeover includes an aerokit made up of newly designed front and rear bumper spoilers, side skirts, door visors, and LED stainless steel kick plates. The 17-inch wheels have also been swapped out for 18-inch Impul Aura SX-50 alloys that get a chrome bronze and gloss black finish. The wheels are wrapped with Continental MaxContact MC5 tyres as well. Additionally, the Impul X-Trail rides 30 mm lower than before thanks to Impul sport springs.
Nissan X-Trail Impul edition launched, from RM150k Image #425547
PricX-Trail Impul_Backes start at RM149,715.05 (OTR with insurance) for the Nissan X-Trail 2.0L 2WD Impul, a premium of RM8,648.04 over the standard 2.0L model (RM141,067.01). The 2.5L 4WD Impul meanwhile, will set you back RM172,516.42 (OTR with insurance), RM8,620.48 more than the standard 2.5L model (RM163,895.94).
However, if you’re looking to purchase the Impul parts individually, the total cost for the whole Impul makeover will amount to RM15,900. The full list of parts and their respective prices are as follows:
  • Aerokit (including front and rear bumper spoilers, side skirts) – RM5,300.
  • Impul sport springs – RM1,060
  • 18-inch Impul Aura SX-50 alloy wheels (set of four) – RM 5,830
  • Continental MaxContact MC5 tyres (set of four) – RM2,756
  • Door visors – RM424
  • LED stainless steel kick plates – RM530
Keep in mind that the Impul package doesn’t involve any mechanical changes under the hood of both X-Trail models. Therefore, the 2.0 litre MR20DD direct injection mill is still good for 144 PS at 6,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. As for the 2.5 litre, the QR25DE-k2 engine provides 171 PS at 6,000 rpm and 233 Nm at 4,000 rpm for output numbers. Both engines are paired to Nissan’s Xtronic CVT gearbox.

NEW NISSAN NAVARA 2015 COMING SOON NP300

GALLERY: Nissan Navara NP300 sets foot in Europe

Nissan-Navara-NP300-Europe-0005
Mother trucker 2.0 is here, the twelfth-generation Nissan Navara has just arrived on European terrain and it is to make an official debut at the Frankfurt Motorshow on September 15. That said, we’ve received quite a few details of the incoming Navara albeit in NP300 specs.
Nothing you haven’t seen on the outside, since the compact pick-up was first featured in Thailand previously, but how does it look on European roads? Pretty darn good seeing that a lot of lifestyle design cues and character lines have been incorporated onto Nissan’s best-selling pick-up truck. It retains those bulging wheel arches on the exterior and that’s a good thing.
Edges in the front and rear overhangs are now more shapely, sloping upwards while gone is the squarish shape that we’ve grown to love. The front also sports a more SUV-like grille which Nissan calls the V-motion grille while the projector headlamps which now come with LED lights, although still slightly reminiscent of its predecessor’s stretched polygonal shape, it now curves a bit more and inwards into the fenders.
Nissan-Navara-NP300-Europe-0004
Towards the back, well, the rear lights might be a slight hit-and-miss when the truck is viewed from the side but in full view from the back the new Navara makes up for it thanks to the visual lines on the redesigned tailgate. Up top, it seems the truck now comes standard with roof rails while the high mount lamp now sits smoothly across the top instead of jutting out like the outgoing truck.
Interesting to note, the twelfth-generation truck from Nissan, in dual cab form will now come with multi-link suspensions as opposed to leaf springs, which we are also expected to receive. The five-link rear suspension might provide for a better ride on both terrains – on-road and off. The new suspension layout has made the vehicle lighter than the outgoing truck by a whole 20 kg.
That said, the two-door king cab variant will continue to have leaf springs albeit a revised one that weighs 7 kg less, and in an overslung design instead which will improve rear wheel approach and departure angles by 3.1% and as an additional benefit, road noise is said to be reduced through this new design.
Nissan-Navara-NP300-Europe-0014
Inside, the D23’s dashboard has a more upmarket appearance than the D40, but that looks like it will be reserved for markets like Europe and the US only so our verdict as to how classy the centre console may be can only be made after it actually reaches our shores. Front seats should be a lot more comfortable now since the old ones have been chucked away to make way for Nissan’s Nasa-inspired, Zero-gravity seats.
To keep the front nice and cool, both driver and front passenger will have the choice to choose their own temperature settings as it now comes with dual-zone climate control. Rear passengers also receives a refreshing treat with new rear air vents. Newly designed backseats to replace the very vertical ones on the eleventh-generation Nissan Navara, now comes as standard.
Tech-wise, the NP300 Navara will receive an Around View Monitor and Forward Emergency Braking or automatic braking feature making the new Navara a lot like an SUV as it will also include with it Cruise Control, Hill Descent Control and Hill-start assist, a keyless entry system and rearview camera would be additional selling points – we hope we can get some of that too.
The tray of the new Navara is now 1,578 mm long which is 67 mm longer than the outgoing truck, while the two-door king cab’s tray measures in at 1,788 mm in length. Towing capacity has also been upped from 3,000 kg to 3,500 kg this perhaps can also be attributed to the new turbocharged diesel motors that sits beneath the bonnet, which Nissan claims is 24% more efficient.
It will come in two forms, a new single turbo 2.3 litre dCi diesel engine that makes 160 PS or a twin-turbo unit that generates 190 PS. Also, the new Navara is paired to a new seven-speed automatic transmission with an option for a six-speed manual gearbox, while no changes have been made to the four-wheel drive system. Read our

GALLERY: Nissan Almera facelift – a closer look at the Nismo Performance Package and V trim model

AlmeraFL_Nismo_Ext_04

Earlier in the week, Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) introduced the Nissan Almera facelift in the country via a press release and studio shots – here then is the car in the metal, in both STOCK and dressed-up guise.
To recap, the car – which made its debut in Thailand last year – goes on sale in Malaysia in four variant forms, the baseline E manual (RM64,960 OTR without insurance) and E automatic (RM67,882), midrange V (RM74,700), and top-of-the-line VL (RM77,622).
All variants are equipped with a 102 PS and 139 Nm HR15DE 1.5 litre DOHC CVTC unit carried over unchanged from the pre-FACELIFT, paired with either a five-speed manual or four-speed auto transmission.
Externally, the facelift gets restyled, larger headlamps, a new front bumper and a revised front grille, now with three bars as opposed to the original Almera‘s four, as well as new chrome trim around the fog lamps. New wheels complete the external rework – the Almera now features Y-spoke design 15-inch alloy wheels (with 185/65 tyres) as standard across the entire model range.
Inside, the Almera now has a new, more premium-looking steering wheel, a redesigned centre stack trimmed in piano black. There’s also a new CD/MP3 player fitted as standard from the E grade version on, but if you’re looking to tech up the presentation, a couple of different OPTIONS are available.
The first is a RM6,000 Navi DVD Package, which features a 6.5-inch DVD head unit with navigation, reverse
camera
, iPod connectivity, USB and Bluetooth. The second is a RM7,000 Navi with Internet Package, an Android-based 6.5-inch multimedia navigation system with Internet connectivity (tethering from smartphone via WiFi) and Virtual Acoustic POSITIONING System (VAPS).
The pricing isn’t just for the electronics – both packages add leather seats/door cards as well as
Solar
Gard Armorcoat tinting. Other OPTIONS abound too – there’s a RM750 Elegance Package, which throws in stainless steel kicking plates with LED illumination, door visors, trunk tray and sport pedals for the automatic (for the manual, it’s RM600, minus the sports pedals).
There’s also a new Almera Nismo Performance Package, which is the white car you see in the photos. The route brings about an Aero Package, made up of a front and rear bumper spoiler, side skirts and trunk lid spoiler as well as 16-inch alloys wrapped with 205/50 Continental MaxContact MC5 tyres.
It also adds on a sports exhaust muffler and a performance suspension system, which features uprated springs and shock absorbers. Complete, the entire Nismo package goes for RM14,000, but buyers can opt to go for Aero Package and its five-piece bodykit and wheels/tyres for just RM9,000, or RM4,500 if it’s just the bodykit alone.
The other car in the photos is a stock standard V variant, which is identical externally to the range-topping VL. The model comes with dual airbags, Fine Vision instruments and fog lamps, among other things. The Almera FACELIFT will be starring in a Nissan roadshow in 1 Utama till this Sunday, so head there if you want get touchy-feely.

2015 Nissan X- trail RM 150k to RM 170 k

2015 Nissan X-Trail spotted on oto.my – sub-RM150k?

Nissan X-Trail IIMS- 2
This is interesting – we spotted an ad for the 2015 Nissan X-Trail on our sister classifieds site oto.my. The third-generation SUV, which made its ASEAN debut in Indonesia in September, was advertised to arrive in early January, less than two months from now.
According to the description, the locally-assembled X-Trail will come in two variants – a sub-RM150k front-wheel drive 2.0 litre model and a sub-RM170k four-wheel drive 2.5 litre. The outgoing X-Trail is only sold here in 2.0 litre 2WD form, currently retailing at RM148,815 on the road without insurance, so expect the base model of the new car to have a similar price tag.

Standard equipment, at least on the top-spec model, is said to include keyless entry and start, a navigation system, cruise control and leather seats. At the moment, it is unclear if these variants are five- or seven-seater models (the current X-Trail is only sold here in a five-seater format).
The two powertrains available will be a Serena S-Hybrid-derived MR20DD 2.0 litre direct-injected mill developing 144 PS and 200 Nm, as well as a QR25DE 2.5 litre MPI motor from the Teana that produces 171 PS and 233 Nm. Unlike in Indonesia – where the 2.0 litre model was available with a six-speed manual – we’re expecting the X-Trail to arrive with an Xtronic CVT as standard.
